Acts of Mercy: Feed the Hungry

Trinity takes very seriously Jesus’s direction to “feed the hungry.” From Wednesday Street Outreach lunches to Thursday community dinner, we work to make sure our neighbors have nutritious food. We purchase food from Community Harvest Food Bank throughout the year, and want to help “give back” by collecting boxed meals (like Hamburger Helper or Mac and Cheese) as well as the always-in-demand protein (canned or packaged chicken, tuna, peanut butter, etc) Sunday, February 18 to help fill the shelves at Community Harvest.

Dear God, Thank you for the food that blesses and sustains my body today. Help me remain aware of those excluded from fellowship with your people and suffer the pain of hunger today. Help me think creatively how I can share the abundance you gave to me. Amen.
